Donations to Michigan Cichlid Association
« on: May 01, 2013, 09:48:14 PM »
Most people may not be aware of this but MCA is always happy to receive donated items or fish to be raffled off or auctioned.  Donations do not have follow the restrictions of what is and is not permitted in the auction - i.e. dry goods, non-cichlids will happily be accepted as donations.

Please find me at the auction and I will make sure you get proper recognition.

Thanks!
Jeff

I'll be the guy constantly yelling at the vendor that wants to pull his "stuff" out from under the table.

I have found MCA to be extremely helpful since I found you guys at the start of the year so I would be happy to give some back to MCA. I have no where near the surplus equipment that some of you guys do (Yeah I'm lookin' at you Mr. Sanford :P lol) but after I get the office/big tank build that I'm working on done I would be happy to offer to make one of my 3D backgrounds that I build and give to be auction/raffled off at an up coming summer/fall auction if that sounds like something that would be useable?

Steve - I think that would be a pretty good draw for a raffle, especially if we had a pic of one in a tank at the auction so people could see what they look like installed.

Okay consider it done Marty. Just let me know some dates for some of the upcoming raffles you plan to do and I'll see where I can work it in for you guys. Dunno if you think maybe waiting till the winner wins to see what size tank they want it built for? or have it already made for a common size tank like a 29g, 40b, or 55g so that they can see it in person? Think about it and let me know and we'll work something out. But consider it a for sure thing I'll be happy to help out.

Heck yeah!!!

If I won... I would set up a tank just for the background.

Fish-less? LOL. When people ask where the fish are, just say they are "hiding in the rocks" and wait for a reaction.
