Losing weight is not as hard as one would think as long as you put your mind to it. I was overweight for the past 10-15 years. I'm 6'6" and Feb of 2012 I weighed 397lbs. I made the decision that I was tired of being fat and out of shape so I put my mind to losing the weight. I didn't go on a crash diet or any strenuous program like px90 or anything crazy like that. I simply changed the way I eat to a healthier way. I cut out all the chips and junk food, cut out the chocolate and baked goods, switched from white breads to whole bread, and switched from regular cheese to fat free cheese, as well as started simply walking between 3-6 miles per week.

With in less than a year I lost almost 150lbs and went from 397lb to 250lbs which is where I am at today. Just keep your mind to it and make the decision that you want to live a longer and happier life and you can do it.

I am 41 yrs old right now (will be 42 in December) so I'm not a young guy who's metabolic rate burns real fast ;) Are you counting your calorie intake per day? because that is very important. When I lost the weight I started writing down the calories for everything I ate no matter how small it was, because you'd be amazed at just how many calories can add up through a day when you "graze" as they call it. While I was losing the weight I set a limit of 1,200 calories per day for 6 days a week and then on the 7th day I allowed myself about 2,500 calories. The reason for that is because your metabolism will "adjust" to the low calorie into so having one day per week where you eat more helps to somewhat jump start your metabolism and keep it from leveling off.

ok thanks. I'll get back to keeping track of everything again. I'm just so frustrated right now. Something is wrong, a lot is wrong but something in particular is causing me to not loose weight. Stress and my Testosterone levels being so low. They're giving me injections now every 2 weeks because they were so low.

Hang in there. Just keep track of the calories and try to stay between 1,200-1,500 and you should start losing. Try to mix in some walking and other light exercise as well (nothing to strenuous though at the begining).

I know it feels like a real daunting task at first but stick to it and you should start seeing results as long as you stay in the proper calorie range and try to do a little walking. The first 40-50lbs are the hardest, but after you drop around 50lbs then that really helps to motivate you to lose even more. Keep me posted on how you are doing.
