anyone know of away to DIY a top brace/trim for a 6ft tank

euro brace it with glass or make some out of wood that will work the same was as a center brace. Some people even have steel bent to work the same way.

Can always replace it with a new one as well. I removed and replaced the top trim/brace on one of my 4ft 55's and only took a couple hours worth of work.
Better to have a short life full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way.

I replaced top trim the on 55.Very easy.hit Blairs buddie danny up.he might have one for` sale.

I would risk it and just get a new trim piece.

Or go to the glass shop and see if the have scrap pieces that you can have and do it that way.
