Just curious... what would be some of the LARGE blue Africans?

  What About:


-Placidochromis Phenochilus. Males can Get 10"+ but I haven't seen any that big.
-Dimidochromis Kiwinge, males can get 13-14"
-Blue Zaire Cyphotilapia Gobbereosa? they can get a good 15".
-Petro. SP. Giant Mpimbwe 15-16"
-Petro. Sp. Giant Fulwe 15-16"
-Petro. Sp. Giant Namansi 15-16"

Champsochromis caeruleus.  Males get over 10" and are most definitely blue.  Also called "Trout Cichlid"; from lake Malawi.

Champsochromis caeruleus.  Males get over 10" and are most definitely blue.  Also called "Trout Cichlid"; from lake Malawi.

These were actually the first ones that got me thinking about a tank like this.

Yeah, just sold my pair a few months ago.  Also had an extra female that was missing her right eye.  Named her "Danica" because she always swam in left turns and crashed into things when she went too fast.

When/if I set up a 150 gallon or so for something like this... I will get a dozen or so.  But for now, it would only be one in the 140 gallon mixed tank.
