Are you saying puting several holding females together?  I would probably do one per net personally, but I'm new at it too.

IME, holding females typically like their own personal space. Some species are downright aggressive towards other fish in their space, even though they can't use their mouth.

They don't raise fry as a community.

Thats what im thinking also... I have 5 holding right now, and 2 breeder/fry nets. I have a couple other options. Figured i'd throw the question out there..

Unless you have a good way to move fry without saturating the market, I wouldn't try to save every single spawn. For example I have probably close to 100 F. rostratus fry, ~2 spawns, and expect they won't all find new homes until at least a year from now.

Anytime you put Regalblue and holding females together you can expect that won't be good.
Seriously, don't put more than one holding female in a net breeder.  Better to divide a 20 long into 4 sections and let nature take it's course if you decide to not strip the females.  (Here comes Regalblue's comment...I just know it.)

I think this is a good problem to have, I would rather have more fish holding than fry cages collecting dust.

1 female per net. Has worked great for me. My Kawanga Gold female is waiting for me to strip her sometime this week so she can be free of the net.

I have had trouble with two holding females in a ten gallon so I wouldn't think more than one in a net would work either. Once I figure out how many days each of my species hold before releasing I begin to strip them a day or two early and use the nets for fry if they are not the same age as others in the tank. I have found that new fry need a week in the net to get their wits about them and some growth before being added to a fry tank with slightly older fry. Three week old fry can kill off new ones quite well already.
