Tigers
« on: March 11, 2013, 07:07:56 PM »
Well this forum is for "off topic" so I'm gonna go way off topic ;D

I'm a HUUUUGE Detroit Tigers fan. Have been for 3 decades now since I was maybe 10 yrs old at games with my grandpa in the 70's/80's at Tigers Stadium. It's only 21 days from today till Opening Day! I just bought my first set of tix a couple hours ago (Tigers vs KC).

Any of you guys big Tigers fans as well?

We are HUGE tiger fans and I have been watching them since the early 80's and even when they were at there worst.

Logan and I watch almost every game if he is not playing baseball that day.

Nothing like a day at the ball park, good times and I cant wait to get down there this year

Rich is Logan your son I meet with you back at the Nov auction?

Yeah man the "worst times" lol. I remember too well the 2003 season. That last game where we were playing to avoid the worst record in MLB my buddy and I were headed up to the Au Sable steelhead fishing that night. We had to pull over right before the Bay City Bridge because we were losing AM radio reception. Listened to the end of that game like it was a World Series game lol. Thank God we have a better team these days.

Went to the final game of the year.  Unfortunately it was when they lost the series.  It was still great.

Steve Yes thats Logan he comes to all the events with me. He and his 2 brothers play baseball and its the best thing in the world. To see logan,Hunter and zach go out there and play and tell us how they made a play just like one of the major league guys is priceless.

The 2 younger ones dont really get into watching it as much as logan but they all love going to the game and spending dads money on hot dogs and peanuts.

Baseball season is in the air:)

My father has been gone for many years, but when i think back to the mid-60's, sitting with him in tiger stadium  as a young boy, watching Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Bill Freehan, Willie Horton, and many other favorites,  I can remember it like it was yesterday and a smile creeps across my face.

My Father has passed as well and I do remember spending allot of time watching games with him at home and at Tiger Stadium. I have a Picture of the 68 world series Tigers team picture hanging in my office that my dad gave me.

We should do a Club game this year even if we sit in the cheap seats.

My dad was never the sports type and we never went to a baseball game, this is why I'm making memories with my son's and daughter . I want them to talk about this kind of stuff one day.

Absolutely love baseball!  Can't wait for the season to start.

Hopefully my son picks up on it too.

We should do a "Field Trip" as a group !  I am a avid TIGERS fan.

There is nothing better than going to a game and getting a Ball Park dog with a Pepsi with the celphane covered tops.

I wish Tigers Stadium was still around.  Best ball bark ever.  I miss the ambiance of that Ball Park..

I used to love Tiger Stadium.  I grew up going to games there.  Hated to see it abandoned for a new stadium...

That was all until I went to Comerica Park!!!!   Hands down a better place to watch a game.  From the facilities to the view to... much better.
