Well I guess the more you do something the better/faster you get. Only took about 4 hours of work this time and it's not all scraped out, clean and ready for resealing which I will probably do tomorrow.

Hit a snag, tried 3 local places to get the silicone I wanted for this time but none stock it. Looks like I'll have to order it so that'll set me back a week.

Success! Was able to find the stronger silicone that I was looking for which will bond Acrylic to glass locally. Stuff is not cheap, about $8 per tube, but as long as it works then that'll be a small price to pay. Gonna do another run with razor blades right now just to be sure it's good and clean and then wipe it down and maybe seal it tonight.

what did I miss here? Why do you need silicon that bonds glass to acrylic?

The leak I found was in the lower seam of the right side. So I bought a section of acrylic 1" x 1" square stock to make a patch to fit over the lower seam. Square stock will be pressed into the new silicone and then a secondary silicone bead will go on top of the square piece. Using acrylic because it is easy to cut myself without having to have a shop cut thicker glass.

Well tank is all resealed again. I feel good about it this time but I guess we'll find out in about a week just how good I should or shouldn't feel about it.
