Me too! Fiance and I were talking about moving and we kinda sorta agreed upon a 300+gallon tank if we do. But it has to be planted with discus. I figured I could live with that.

So I'm quite envious of that tank...Is tank envy like penis envy?  ???

That monster would double for a jacuzzi as well ;D Nice tank look forward to seeing what you end up doing with it.

Nick,

I've done a couple different plant / discus tanks over the years.  I never messed with Co2 or ferterlizer as a disclosure.  My plants never did very well.  Most lived but never thrived.  The problem is Discus need 84d - 86d where plants do much better in mid to low 70's.  Just something to think about when considering stocking.

I didn't put it on a scale.   :P  4 guys can carry it easily.

Thanks for the heads up. Out of curiosity, what type of plants were using? The tank I recently setup is at 83d because I am hoping to put 4 Discus in it eventually(maybe). Some of the plants I initially bought didn't work out so I researched and switched to a variety that would do well in the warm water. In your experience did you do the same and still have the issue with the plants never thriving?

IIRC, the website for live plants that you recently posted about has a discus package that features plants that can tolerate the higher temps.
