So, what can you tell me about them?

The electric blue part is new to me.

My brother is picking up two little ones.

they are much more timid then normal jds.  They are not very hardy and grow so painfully slow its unreal.  They are general wimps when growing and hide when put with other fish larger then them.  To breed them you need a blue gene regular jd and an ebjd.  I believe the males are sterile most of the time.  Some times they grow up and are very ugly,  I have seen some incredible looking ones.

I have 2 of them and 1 is 5" and i have had him from 2" to today 5" and yes if they are less then 3" there is a chance that they won't make it and i have 1 in my planted tank with pleco and 4 barbs they are very timid and weak. And if you want to breed them i wouldn't bother it too hard.
