Added some more holy rock.  I was planning on adding some more and getting rid of the wood... but, I am not sure anymore.  I kind of like how it looks now.

How long does the wood leach?  I soaked a large piece of mopani wood for about a week in a tub.(changed water every day)  It still is turning the water after  being in about a month.

Every piece in there... I put in a large cooler and filled the cooler with boiling water.  IT would be BLACK in about an hour or so.  I would let it sit in that water until the next day and then do it again.  I did that 4-5 days with each piece of drift wood.

Even with doing that... for months afterwards after a week, my water would be significantly tea colored.  After the weekly water change, it would be good... but then a week later... tea colored.

I was REAL close to taking it out.  Now, 5 months later... at each weeks water changes, you can barely see the tea color.  I would say another month and it should be completely gone.

No clue how long it would have taken if I hadnt boiled it day after day after day.

Thanks, I did take out some smaller pieces 2 weeks ago.  It's not turning as fast, but I still see the "tea" color after 4-5 days.  Will give it more time.

Here is the Blue Panaque that I got.  Very disappointed in the pictures, because they dont show the true blue color.  Its a neat steel blue to the fish.

But, it hasn't come out since the first day.   >:(

So, here it is.  One picture with the flash off and one with the flash on.

I'll get a better picture on of these days.

That's a nice looking pleco.  If it's anything like the Panaque maccus, clown pleco, you may not see it very often.
