Moby dicks Pet Store
« on: January 23, 2013, 08:26:56 PM »
I was very impressed with moby dicks planted tanks and discus. But the day I was there they has some anemones and leathers die and no one took them out of the tanks so it was pretty smelly in there and the owner was not happy when he came in and smelled it as well. Really cool store for the size of it with a lot of decent dry stock as well.

Very nice LFS, they are quick to see if you need help and are very patient if you have lots of questions.  Many Cichlids...

Tons of fish, not so many rare fish I was looking for.. prices seemed pretty high to me. Tanks were all clean and fish looked healthy. I went in there on a Saturday and the place was completely packed with people, you couldn't hardly move up and down the isles.

Was just at Moby Dick.  August special ALL African and South American Cichlids 20% off.  Buy 5 or more, 25% off. No limit.  They look like they recently got a delivery. Guess I need to finish setting up my tank and get it cycled so I can stock it on the cheap.

Was just at this store yesterday.  HUGE selection of angelfish and seemed to have good variety of fish.  Prices were very reasonable.  Definitely will be visiting again in the near future!

I have been to this store several times and each time it has been more disappointing, the prices are simply outrageous!  I understand you have overhead, but i see the same fish at other stores for 30% less, that is not an exaggeration, literally 30% less. Great people, the prices are just too much for my wallet.

I like Moby dicks but they are a little over price and there isn't enough room. They pack a lot in a little room. They keep a good job cleaning theirs tanks. I love how good their live plants look just not the price. They told me I should give my tank a water change monthly. Sometimes they buy fish and don't know the name of them. I bought a peacock and they only knew that it was a red peacock. I came in one day and they had a 7 stripe frontosa for a little over 20 dollars for him/her. I came back in a week later they had the same frontosa but renamed him/her as a 7 stripe kigoma frontosa for 31.99!!! They didn't even spell kigoma right. I was gonna buy it until they raised the price and renamed it.
