I saw this on the news this morning and the anchor person said something about the cause was being investigated...I had the simple answer: "Made In China".

That's crazy this is why we only talk about building tanks out of glass and acrylic at work too much of a chance of getting sued or something stupid happening. It must of sucked for the person standing right in front of it as well.

Its kind of silly to keep sharks anyhow. Them and porcupine puffers are just kinda hard to care for on a normal budget.

I don't think it's silly to keep sharks at all. I think that aquarium was appropriate for the small reef sharks that were in there...from what I could see anyway. And I'm assuming the mall (or whomever was responsible for the tank) had the budget to maintain it. If I win the lotto...

You can set a 180 up and do a bamboo cat shark they are nocturnal so they are too active during the day and at night are know for making other fish disappear. Dont get me wrong they are cool to have but just really hard to keep healthy.
