Yesterday Vic Bondi, Gary Damm, Blair Henze, and I held the open house at the late John Piippo's apartment.
Our goal was to ease the burden on his family by taking care of the dispersal of John's "aquatic estate".
The family wishes to thank everyone that came over and made purchases.
I can't tell you how many times John's sister Kathy, his daughter Jessica, his father John, and the other family members said how much they appreciated all this.
I personally would like to thank all the people that came over and made respectful offers on everything they purchased.
In fact, I would like to thank Rob (vaudeville) and his lovely bride Trish for not only their purchases, but for paying more than the prices I suggested...hats off to you both. And an extra special thanks to them for sticking around and helping out by volunteering their time.
This coming Saturday, December 22nd, at 1:30pm we will be holding a second open house for the dispersal of tanks and the enormous variety of other dry goods. There is so much stock that if you need something for your fish room, more than likely it is available. I encourage everyone to take the time to come over and do some shopping. All the tanks will be drained and ready to go. If you are hoping to buy a tank set up, I suggest that you bring bucket(s) for the gravel and a friend to help you load...just in case all of the volunteers are busy.
Oh BTW, John's apartment is in Westland on Merriman Rd on the east side and you enter the first driveway north of Hines Drive. Here is the address: 7528 Merriman, apt 102, Westland, MI 48185-2446.
