It would be nice if we could post the actual video instead of just the links. On some sites, the links can be put as a video by using youtube tags like these:

[youtube]link[/youtube].

FWIW, I thought Youtube already has a button you can click to get code to "embed" a video into a post provided that the site doesn't prohibit/enables embedding. I'm not sure if we can do that here because I haven't tried it, but I suspect it would work.

If it did work, anyone could upload their video to Youtube and then share it here in a post that way.

From my tests in an admin area, it doesn't appear that youtube videos can be embedded by regular users.  I'm looking for a mod that will allow users to do so, and then I need to figure out how to upload it to the site.

Any progress on this? I think it makes the site TONS better when the video is right in the post instead of having to follow it to YouTube.

I have had problems with photo's and 1 video loading.  I put the video on youtube and copied and pasted the link.  Clicking the youtube link worked fine.
