Tangled Up in Cichlids- gauging interest
« on: August 08, 2012, 08:29:12 PM »
There's been some talk of doing a group order through Jeff Rapps at Tangled Up in Cichlids. Obviously the more people who jump in, the better it is for everyone cost-wise. You can check out their stock list here: http://www.tangledupincichlids.com/stock.html

Leave a reply in this thread if you're interested in placing and order. If there's enough interest we can finalize details along the way.

There's not really anything I want from Rapps,  I know that could change at any moment though.

Cichlidsoftheamericas.com has quite a few species that I'd like though

Seems like interest is luke-warm at best, lots of maybes; at this point, I don't know that I'm planning to tackle a group order from Rapps. I may be up for something like that in future though (or from cichlids of the Americas, either way).

I'm interested if there are enough people sometime in the near future.

Not into fish any more, but just wondering if Rapps still charges a fee for taking orders to the airport?

LOL, yeah...years ago he would charge every customer a fee even though he hauled multiple orders per trip. Most times, he was already going to the airport to pick up fish he had landing!
Plus, his idea of a 2" fish is in reality a 1" fish at best!!!
And don't get me started on him sending wrong fish or contaminates that he wasn't even sure what the fish was.
He has got to be the most over rated person in the fish sales business.

Tony...I figured my question would get a rise out of ya!!

I agree tho...he is NOT all that, just a legend in his own mind!

There are still times I feel like visiting a few of the forums we use to sell on and post some of the TRUTHS I know about him now that I'm no longer in the business and don't have to play nice!!
