OB Zebras
« on: October 29, 2019, 09:51:22 PM »
Looking for some nicely marked/quality OB Zebras. Also super red zebras, albino or black barred. I live in Canton or can meet at the Motor City auction. Thanks!

Chris Ingram has my old zebra mandas.
Ken Lewis also has some of them.
Kawanga golds can be found at Royal Tropical.
There are some nice gallireya reef floating around as well.
As for common bread n butter zebras, estherae or callainos I haven't seen any quality in many years locally.
One tank remains.
MTS is in fact a disease.
Most are just feeders these days!

They were all the rage in the late 80's early 90's

Thanks for the input. I realize they used to be common, but it's strange to me that nobody is breeding quality specimen anymore. At the club auction in October bags of 5 nice colored OB's were selling for $50 a bag. So there's clearly at least some demand for them. Their colors used to always be confused for salt water when people looked at my tanks, back when I kept them.

$50 a bag?!  I would suspect that some will be popping up by next summer.

Yep, believe it or not. There were four bags of five. I couldn't get one.

That was me buying those bags of zebras.
I'll have some up for sale in a few months along with some beautiful albino zebras. $5 each. Keep in touch.

These guys live in a 500g tank I clean for a lady down here in the tri-state area. I'm not much for zeb's but they're pretty cool looking...
