Fish Needed
« on: September 02, 2019, 03:32:13 PM »
Are there any breeders out there? I’m looking to stock my 195 show with all Malawi  males. Have gone through oyers/bob stevens/and smilin cichlids in the past. I know Oyers and smilin are no longer in the hobby. Anyone know about bob? I’ve heard about Cunningham also but he’s a little far. Looking for help! Thanks

Bob does not supply Malawi's any longer, he's a Tang man now. I contacted him just a month ago chasing male Malawi's and he wrote me and told me if his switch. I do believe Josh Cunningham is set up to ship, but he mostly sells breeding groups and small fry. Occasionally he'll have a show male but I track his posts because he usually has some cool and less common species, but it doesn't seem to be his regular thing. It would be worth a call though, the worst he can say is he doesn't have anything...

The MCA auction will be October 5th if you have some patience - usually males will turn up there. That way you can see what you are buying and maybe find something uncommon. If you can’t wait I know the Mackenzie brothers have some nice fish, otherwise most people sell smaller juveniles. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. Who are the Mackenzie brothers?

Message Scott (somethingfishy83) - he probably has something you might be looking for. Otherwise less than a month till the auction. Cheers
