I've had it before, but I don't think it's that good. I think a good portion of why it's so "good" is the hype resulting because of the cost! If given a plate with lobster, shrimp, and crayfish, I'd probably eat just as much lobster as shrimp, and more crayfish than either of those.

So I met Larry and his wife at Red Lobster today. It wasn't very crowded since we went just after 3pm and you'd think that was a good thing.
Well, our waitress seemed really bubbly and full of gusto....at first.
Our initial orders came out a little late but they were worth the wait...really great scampi to start!!!
After that things seemed to go downhill....slow service, slow refills, and they just didn't taste very good.
Hell, we didn't even break 100 shrimp but got tired of sitting there so long.
All-in-all it was not a pleasant experience this time around.
I think that particular location is off my list...."Larry, we have to meet at a different Red Lobster next time"

We've gone there on many occasions with no problems at all....not anymore though.

I'm not sure exactly what the conversion formula would be and I probably could have managed a few more if it really mattered, but tonight all-I-could-eat:
~60 breaded shrimp + 20 breaded clam strips

(It's hard to keep count when they come in baskets, so I tried to error low when keeping a tally instead of inflating the numbers. Numerous times I was eating shrimp and then had a "how many did I just eat?" moment and only counted what I could definitely recall.

So let's say 1 clam = 1.5 shrimp (though nearly all of the strips had the same width as a shrimp and were 4"+ long...

60 breaded shrimp + 1.5 shrimp/clam *20 breaded clams = 90 shrimps

... then somehow include a conversion factor for the thick breading as opposed the scampi / teriyaki / parmesan Red Lobster shrimps ....

I suspect it should put me somewhere well over 100 Red Lobster shrimps. The only thing I can confirm is I'm heading to bed early as a result of all of this.
