As far as an eating contest, I must warn you that my record to date is 175 shrimp in one trip.

For some reason I thought that they served them roughly 8 at a time per dish? It's been a while since I've done it.

[edit] Nevermind on that '8' mention. I just saw the offerings and it appears to differ depending on what you get. I've participated in eating contests in the past. For that 175 shrimp, is there a time limit you achieved that within?

Well, I lost count due to finishing some of the lightweights' plates while waiting for another refill.
That, and the server grabbed my "tail plate" halfway through dinner so I couldn't count up the casualties.
I plan on going again very soon.

Tony said he could eat 175 and I'd expect that you're good for 26.

No I mean 200 each.  I know I  had a minimum of 10 plates/ servings&  there were 20 shrimp per Teriaky&  breaded plates.  But, I was mostly eating parmesan& breaded

I had a decent amount, but no where near you guys. I ate a couple plates of shrimp linguini, about 5 plates of scampi, 1 bowl of parmesan, a bowl of Lobster Bisque, a few sodas. Left there stuffed. I wasn't properly prepared...I had a large breakfast. Lol.

It's funny...I mentioned to Jeff before dinner that I just wasn't "feeling it" for a good amount of shrimp.
Turns out, once I got started I was on a roll and if it wasn't for Jeff and Marty both being finished and looking like they were ready to go, I would have kept eating.
And usually, after an endless shrimp session, I am not in a hurry to go back for a good while.
Hell, I could have gone back today!!

I'm not a huge shrimp person.  Now if you're talking crab legs, I can usually polish off between 2 and 3 pounds.

The place I really want to go to is the all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse at the Compuware building.  That one is a bit more pricey, but I've heard good things about it.

Yeah, the place is expensive.  It's like $45.00 per person not including drinks, but the waiters (dressed up as Gauchos - Brazilian cowboys) walk around with different types of meat on spits and cut it off and serve it to you at the table until you either burst or decide you've had enough.

Now that sounds dangerous!!  I'm a red meat guy myself.   Love fish but usually if I am spending money to go out and eat, I am going for a big ole steak..... or prime rib.  In Ohio on a hunting trip I stopped at a place called Woody's and ordered a 38-42oz prime rib and it was awesome.  Couldn't finnish it that night but ate it cold in the woods the next day and the guys eating lunch meat were a bit jelous.
