peacock not eating

I have one of my male peacocks not eating and popping his mouth from time to time.  Not visible signs of any marks or external disease.   Anyone encounter this before?

I have yes. Usually when I do have something like this happen it is a huge pointer that the fish is stressed out and or getting some sort of illness. I experienced this really bad after I moved to mt.pleasant, what I learned was that if you start feeding with the food with the garlic additive or adding it yourself it will generally get them out of that funk and help with illness as well. Garlic will help boost the fishes immune system as well. I would say give it a try if you are not already.

I have a male Greshakie in a 20 gal hospital tank right now cuz he stopped eating and started hanging in the corner by the heater tube.He also had white stringy feces.I think it was bloat , it has now been 5 days in the tank and he is showing signs of recovery.
I am treating him with metrodianizole and salt , temps a little higher (84) and I am currently treating my 75 all male mbuna tank with garlic , focus and metrodianizole crusted food.They all are eating and seem happy and healthy.
Once they stop eating it is much easier to isolate them and treat a smaller tank than trying to treat a large tank with multiple fish.

It may even be something non-disease related. Because it is natural for Aulonocara to sift through sand or gravel, I have had them actually take in a piece of gravel but not be able to spit it back out. Net the fish and open it's mouth to check this.
