I don't know. He might have but I actually had a similar experience with some not so good results. I had a calvus get stuck in a shell...and I of course didn't notice. After I seen him float out of the shell when it went back in the tank after being out for about an hour I noticed he had some gill action going on. I held him similar to the way the guy in the video did and he even turn upright a few times and tried swimming. After about 30min. of trying to revive him he finally quit all movement.
Nothing but a few empty tanks.
