Anyone planning to go to ACA 2012?
« on: March 14, 2012, 02:14:30 PM »
I'm looking to go, and I wanted to see if it would be feasible to get a group or groups together to go, perhaps renting a van or vans to make it more economical.

I'm in and I'll bring Liza Mennelli and Barry Manilow!

I wasn't planning on going, but it sure is close this year!

For anyone who's not familiar, this year it's in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 11th-July15th:

Depends on finances/work schedule but I don't think a rental would work for me (or you Marty)....I would want to take fish to sell to help make up some of the expenses.

I think he wants to rent a van so that he can take fish and still fit a few people.  I'm sure he's all ready thought that the side benefit of a van would be not having to hear me bitch about having to drive all the way to Macomb to pick him and his tank up.

Actually, I talked to Bob about this today and we both might be interested depending on my work/non-work schedule and his ability to get the time off from the store. We have a standard minimum amount of fishing/camping/hiking trips we take each year so the ACA would be an added trip....we would never consider sacrificing the former for the latter.
Anyhow, Bob's truck would handle him, myself, Marty, and Jeff, along with our travel rack and all our fish....so the four of us can keep that in mind.
And, I guess, the rest of you are on your own  :P :P :P :P

Lol Jeff, I didn't even think about that. I'm sure I could get a discount on an oversized casket.  ;)
