Hi, is this Bob Stevens in Livonia?  If so, I have great things to say about you and your fish.  I have visited your house several times, and bought a lot of fish in the last few years...my friend and I.   You might remember, I used to come from Windsor Ontario, and a friend of mine Dr. J. Doherty (retired) .   
I just hope the laws change soon, and we are allowed to bring fish across the border again without a permit (how it used to be), so we can start buying fish from you as well as other good folks in Michigan.  Thanks.

You can actually bring fish back to Canada permitting they are only for personal keeping rather than for resale. I have brought fish back in the last year from multiple auctions and have had no issues declaring them at the border. I find as long as you provide the scientific name and stress that they are a tropical species (meaning they can't be introduced into our waters) they won't give you much hassle. The only point they might get you on is how many you bring back, the most I have brought back was 28 (smaller guys) and I just told the officer that they were juveniles and I expect to loose a bunch while growing them out (which unfortunately turned into fact). I have other friends who have been able to do it well, just make sure you don't lie incase they still want to search how many fish you have. I have not tried bringing fish into the US but from what I hear its not worth the hassle as they will see a Canadian bringing fish in the US as "you are trying to sell them here and not pay duty". Just thought I would share my personal exp and hopefully boost STEVENS' sales haha.
