Mason peacock, red shoulder, ngara flame tail. Look those three up. Pics not clear enough to decipher for me on my small phone.

My first instinct was a copadochromis borleyi "kadango red". I think it's an ngara flametail though. It could also be an usisya flavescent that is either colored down really bad, or the lighting could be bad enough to alter the appearance of the color.

My first instinct was also copadochromis borleyi, but i am also leaning towards ngara flame tail.

Any other thoughts?

Did you buy your house privately or through a realtor cause I might know who's tank this was.

Based on the first picture, the head shape is wrong for C. borleyi.

As for a better ID ... the pictures leave a lot to be desired. I know it's hard to take clear pictures of fish, but they are quite dark and blurry. Any chance of pictures taken while using a flash?

The tank had been neglected by the previous homeowner, because they were trying to move out.  These were the best pics I have taken so far.  No flash.

Get a bunch of flashlights & shine them down into the tank.

Get a bunch of flashlights & shine them down into the tank.

Or just the light on a cell phone?

I agree with all the above guesses.  But at this time that's all they are.
