Fish ID

some one traded me this as an electric yellow,  there is no way it is,  so what is it?
I'm kinda leaning on a male kenyi but when he was stress from the trip he had no bars, and colored down it had more of a white yellow behind the head through the tailish.... 

On  another note my big male e.yellow and sub male are both fighting to get it to court with them, or they are just trying to show tank ranks....  idk....

A question here, not to steal the thread, but i have only had on small spawn from my Red Zebra's. There now in my 120 with other fish. The spawn was produced in my 30gal. Think i should move them back into a smaller tank alone to increase the reproduction rate?

As they get older, the chances that they'll behave nicely in the 30 gallon tank becomes less and less IMO. You might try putting your male and a couple females in there if they are <5"-6" still and keep an eye on them. Once a female or two is holding I'd just move the remainder back to the big tank.

I think it's a combination of being a little faded, the blue gravel background, and the camera (... and perhaps your monitor?) that make it look possibly not correct.

The blue tint in the fins is what does it for me. Looks just like my two males's coloration wise. I love those fish, like i said probly my favorites...

is it possible this is just a female yellow lab?  Shape doesn't totally look zebra to me, but it is hard to tell really without seeing it in person. The color does look yellow as well but sometimes pictures are deceptive.
