Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and have a few questions I'm buying a jag from a friend of mine its 8 1/2 to 9" long he also has a female jack Dempsey that is breeding with the jag. I hear it's rare for the fry to survive and it's harder to get a mating pair.. I'm not sure if that true or not but I did Google some pictures and there absolutely beautifu :Dl.. I was wondering if anyone here has successfully done this? And if so I have another friend with 1 male and 2 female full grown electric blue jack Dempsey's and I'd like to breed the jag with the ebjd. Any tips? ftp://

What you are proposing is hybridizing and most people consider it detrimental to the hobby and is not encouraged.
In fact, the resulting offspring would not be allowed in an MCA auction.

Yea I wasn't for sure what it would have even looked like I didn't even think about thos pics above looking like dovii's and I was just wondering if anyone's done it before
