Another From Mt. Pleasant
« on: February 07, 2012, 07:21:50 PM »
Guess im a bit late to be posting here but.... My name is Nick. Ive been keeping fish for around 10 years now. After the first 2 of keeping South Americans and knew absolutely nothing about fish...I mean, Frontosa, peacocks, Oscars, Red Devils, Arawana, Ghost knife, and Angels all go together right? lol. Thats all in the past and ive been focused on all male African show tanks for the last 8 years or so until recently I started a Tang community tank.
Recently Ive started working on getting some breeding groups going. My tang tank has the potential for Nigripinis, Leptosoma, Multis, and julidochromis marlieris breeding groups so all I need is the extra tanks and some other random gear to get going. I also have 9 Protomealus Kirkii that I purchased at the auction and plan on breeding those too as soon as they are old enough.
Thats about it really. Im just hoping to meet some cool people that enjoy fish as much as I do.
Nothing but a few empty tanks.

Hi nwr2339 and welcome to the forum.  If you decide to put Julidochromis marlieris in your tank I can make you an offer you probably couldn't refuse.  I am getting over run with them and am totally not into breeding fish.

We're almost neighbors....I'm in St. Johns.

My Tang keepers are my Neolamprologus Brevis and an Altolamprologus Calvus.

Yeah....and we don't get "scolded" for going somewhat off topic.  A person on the other forum started a thread which said "Happy Thanksgiving" and I responded.  We got told even though it's appropriate for the season it's not fish related and the thread was locked!  You may have noticed some threads here go all over the place with hilarious results.

Laughing is good.  :P

I like the local forum aspect as well.  You get to know the people behind the screen name and can quickly sift through quality posts from respected people and bull crap from dumb*****.  BTW I forgot to say it earlier - welcome.
