Bowing on 29gallon normal???

I purchased a doller per gallon 29 gallon tetra tank for my roommate 2 months ago.  I noticed today that its bowing almost 1/4" in the center.  Should I be concerned?  Looking around online I heard all kinds of remarks.  Not sure who to believe but value everyone's opinion highly on this forum.  I'm planning on contacting the mfg being 2months old.  Any input greatly appreciated

Iv'e heard this happening a lot lately kinda seems like its becoming a normal thing. Id keep an eye on it still. It the tank 100% level?

a 1/4" bow is a bit too much for my liking. I certainly wouldn't consider it safe and considering the quality concerns i've been reading and hearing about with tetra's dollar gallon tanks, i would try to get it replaced

Tetra told me all 29gallon tanks bow.  it's just anything over 1/4" you have to watch out for.  I don't exactly agree with their statement my all glass and aqueon 29's have no bowing and have been established longer.  I would be Leary of tetra doller per gallon tanks.  Guess you get what you pay for.  They said they would replace the tank if it's over 1/4" after sending pictures of the tank and it had to be on a marineland stand.  No other stand would suffice.  Just thought people would like to know.

The aqueon 29's I had purchased also bow, I have never had an issue with leaks or cracking and all were on half assed wood racks, I imagine longevity would be an issue.  You get what you pay for.

Hence the reason I never cared for 29G tanks.. especially the cheaper ones.. I think every 29 I have owned has bowed. 1/4 inch seems a bit much over such a short distance.. Irony is that I have never seen one fail.. Hmmm..
