Heater failure

Everyday... index finger in every tank.. check for water movement and visually look at fish in tank.. I don't have many tanks so it only takes a minute.

Finger goes in, stupid cold.. I realize I plugged the wrong thing in the day before moving around heaters and working on tanks. I plugged the heater in, added hot water.. carefully.. Two hours later, things seemed to be back to normal. Had a couple multipunctatus just laying on the bottom of the tank not moving. The Fossochromis huddled in a corner like they were trying to get warm.. My own mistake, but at least I caught it..

As a reward the group of 13 Foss and 8 Syno Multis were moved to their new home.. 180 gallons.. You my friend as well as I dodged a bullet..

Of the two kinds of failure, certainly better to have failed off than to have stuck on.

These heater failure reports are making me nervous.  I am tempted to get this.  It will call you if the temp is too high, too low or if there is a water leak.
