I'm still basically homeless.  I have absolutely no place to put a huge tank.  Yet I'm strongly considering blowing some cash on this:

8' x 4' x 16" - You can't get a much better size tank for rays.

Leo - I guesstimate freight would be $600 give or take a $200.  If that tank was with 300 miles of here I would already have 1... possibly 2.

It's acrylic.  Not a huge deal even at that size.

There is a guy that built his house around having a room for his tank. The nickname of this gentleman is Villadsen, from Europe. I am linking you to forum where he is posting his build process, first thread is preparing for the tank, the last is his decorations. Monster Tank / Room please take a look.

Now Jeff, this just shows what you could do with one of these monsters, all you need is the house.

On MittenState a year or two ago there was discussion on how I could accommodate a River Dolphin.  I was thinking of a moot around the entire house and replace the concrete basement walls with acrylic glass.

No road trip for me.  It would cost more in gas to drive one way then it would to have an LTL carrier deliver it.  Now we could do a 'group' order which would lower the freight costs.
