I was "surprised" Fister was Traded to the Nationals. Read Review. They Should have traded Porcello...this will hurt the Tigers. :( Read Review.

Yeah I don't feel that was the right move at all. Fister was really coming into his own this year and if he would have got some run support then he could have had a 20 win season IMO. Trading a really good pitcher like him for basically three mediocre ones IMO was not too smart. I'm gonna hope I'm wrong but I dunno.

I know it sucks we lost fister but there is a long way til the season and the tigers have a lot of time for more wheelmg and dealing. There are still more trades in this pennant race puzzle that will be made. They'll probably make some more big name acquisitions yet. I'm sure by preseason we'll have a pretty good feeling about the team they put together.
I have about 18,000 rounds of .223 I'm  looking to get rid of, 100 rd bags. 1-4 bags $40 ea, 5-9 bags $38 ea, 10 or more bags $35 ea. I can't put this in the for sale section, its not fish related. No shipping.

** Doug Fister Is a Good Pitcher and might have developed into a 20 game winner..... trading him was a Poor Decision and the players they got in exchange->  :o ..I believe this will-Not-help the Tigers but may very well be costly. Time will tell.  >:( **

They just signed Davis from the Jays http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/det/detroit-tigers-close-to-completing-two-year-contract-with-free-agent-rajai-davis?ymd=20131210&content_id=64544276&vkey=news_det

They haven't signed any "big bats" this off season so some people are saying we are a worse team this coming year, I think they are wrong because I believe we have a totally new style team this coming year. A team that now has speed which we never had, base stealers and bunters now. I think we we are going to see a whole new style of Tiger ball this year where we aren't relying on just a big homerun blast that more often or not never comes.

What the heck???? I just saw that Scherzer is being open for trade.  That would be crazy, and not in a good way.

I think the reason they have not extended him is because he's went from a 6 million salary to wanting around 20 million now if I'm not mistaken, I think that's what his agent is valuing him at. I don't want to lose Max but I can totally understand why the Tigers are waiting to see about him because if you think about it 1 great season does not mean a pitcher is worth triple his salary. Pitchers are a VERY up & down bunch from season to season so I'm sure the Tigers are just waiting to see exactly how much it would take to keep Max rather than just throw all sorts of money at him this early in the off season.

We just picked up Joba Chamberlain from the Yanks, signed him to a 1 year deal. If he stays healthy that might be a good signing.
