Au Sable vacation fish pic
« on: August 04, 2013, 12:15:33 AM »
I Live for fishing, anyone that knows me or ever been to my house and saw my shop/pffice/house lol....knows that. Every year I spend 2 weeks in July with the family (Mom, sis, Bro in law, Niece & nephew) at my cabin catching tons of fish fly fishing. I have a huge amount of pics to share which I will do over the next few days, but this is that start of them at least....

The fly that did much damage

My niece with a kitten that came to the cabin one day, she now lives with her at home and named Faith

Much more to come soon...

Are the pike biting good up there right now? Slow still down here I can throw spinners and hula poppers and just get a lot small mouth couple walleye and catfish all day.

Looks like you had a fun trip.

Your niece is a cute kid, I did a double take when I saw the cat.  It looks like a younger version of my wife's.  God I hate that thing!  Normally I like cats, but her cat sucks.

Pike action was decent. I spent about 8-10 each day on the water though so definitely had to work for them.

Been a busy week so slow to upload, but here are some more. Still lots more to come too...

More later.....

Here's somewhat of a rare/odd catch. Although whitefish are common near the Au Sable river mouth in the fall, I caught this one last week all the way upstream above all the dams where I had never seen one before. 17" as well so it wasn't a bad one either.
