You can mix peacocks, haps and mbuna in a large tank. I have all 3 in my main tank with little issues sure some of the larger fish may eventually eat some of the smaller mbuna fry spit in the tank but oh well they will make more and the less I have to feed some of the fish.

It is also important to make sure your tank is large enough for the fish you intend on breeding.

Never heard a recommendation to much mbuna and peacocks.  I tried... I failed.

I have always been told the opposite.
it can be done. You just have to stock correctly with appropriate sizes. (Peacocks being at least double the size of the Mbuna& use a mild tempered Mbuna )
