Saturday was my first auction. I wasn't really prepared for everything that would be available. I will definitely have a few empty tanks ready to go when the next auction comes around. I did pick up a few things

8x 'lamprologus' caudopunctatus (red fin)
Pair of Kribs
Bag of guppy grass

I emptied 3 tanks the night before,  as I usually bring home more than I have room for.
I STILL had to shuffle things around once home. ;)

The auction was run pretty well!  first one for me.  next time I will make some room and be a better shopper.  But I brought home, ( 5 )  Moba fry.  They replaced a couple of ill tempered Calvus that didn't do anything in the tank but bicker.   And some pleco caves.    I do like Calvus a lot and have more but those were rotten. ( still scarred )

Brought home:

3 dozen P. demasoni (Thanks, Stan!)
Young pair of really nice M. Johanni (Thanks, Jeff!)
Five C. panamense "Red"
Couple of large Pleco caves (tubes) for my pikes
Box of Premium Green food (Thanks, Jon!)

Managed to exercise tremendous restraint this time, but wait until the next auction...

Are these the pikes a certain MCA board member is rumored to be obtaining shortly?  ;)

I don't mean to completely change the subject of this thread, but I will have you know that I just realized that I read your posts in your voice.

Great auction! Is there only one auction a year?  I got 10 festae, 3 brown bristlenose plecos, 5 Robertsoni, and a red devil. :)

There used to be only two.  Fall and Spring.  Now there may be Fall, early spring, late spring.  The fall auction this year is in September IIRC.  Check the events section of the site for confirmation.

FWIW, I'd consider the January auction to be winter rather than spring.  :)

If the weather hadn't broken, we could have considered the most recent one to be late winter.  :)
