Murder-suicide in White Lake....right down the street from my place 
Thank God the little boy escaped injury...physical anyway.

The son was probably spared because the guy was not his biological father...in a twisted way the idiot probably would have not left his own son "to suffer without the parents".

What's strange is that I did not hear any gunshots, but even more surprising is I did not hear any emergency vehicles.
This was literally under 100 yards away from my house.
