south american community
« on: March 25, 2013, 09:49:06 PM »
Heres my last year project on starting a community of south american cichlids. I have 1 Albino Oscar, 4 Heros Esfciatus, and 3 Acarthys Hecklii. I remember my first fish tanks as a kid having stone bottoms and steel corners. Getting back into this hobby is great with such a variety of fish, my passion cichlids. One thing I have in abundance is rocks and driftwood the advantages of living with Lake Michigan a walk away. Let me know what you think Thanks

Nice group.  Although at first I thought your light was just wood to keep the cover down, something I had to do with some S Americans.

I got the Severums and Threadfins from Bluegrass Aquatics. Theres only 1 fish store in town so i look online. Also yes the top, stand are diy. The lights are mounted in furring strips attached to plexiglass.
