Interesting,  I have been in there several times recently and most of the fish are small and expensive...But I will try again and see.  Thanks

Just stopped in Oceans and Seas, they had some OB's (just delivered) and they looked GREAT, but as I was looking thru the other tanks, I noticed some old dead fish.  Not recent dead fish but old dead fish.  the bodies were all chewed up and they were missing their eyes.  So I was very apprehensive to purchase anything.

Also,  while talking with them they said that OB's are very aggressive.  Can anyone confirm or deny this.  I'd rather not put an overly aggressive fish in with my docile tank.

Cool little set up Mark, but as you stated you'll need to upgrade tank size eventually. I like the rock work, you have a knack for natural looking decor.
As for the O.B. Peacock typically being more aggressive, that is due to the genetics of the O.B. Zebra which was hybridized with an Aulonocara species to create this man made fish. Of course there are exceptions with aggressiveness, or lack thereof such as you're observing,  but be watchful in case your O.B.s  start to get an attitude as they grow.

These fish had very good colors and they said they got them from a local supplier,  but I did notice in thier show tank that a larger OB was the dominant fish in the tank.  He must have been roughly 2.5" and was noticably agressive towards the other fish.  I think I will pass on adding them to my peacock tank.  What a shame they had very good color to them...

Thanks for you feedback it is well taken !!!

OB's can be aggressive.  I have a small one in my 125 gallon because my daughter wanted one.  He is in with my Hap Moorii breeding group, rusty breeding group, and Intermedius breeding group and is starting to push fish around twice his size.

I have an OB in my peacock tank, and he isn't too aggressive, he gets along with the other peacocks pretty well actually

My wife talked me into an OB... I just removed it from our peacock tank and stuck it with the Mbunas.  Aggressive little bugger for sure.  (at least mine was)

I like the OB Peacocks, I would like to find some with a little more red and or Orange in them. Seems like what I have gotten are more Yellows. I really like the coloring on the ones Mark has posted.

Like other fish... colors can change by the time you get them home.

Ours looks so boring compared to what it did in the stores.
