Mag 12 return pump
« on: February 26, 2013, 09:58:46 PM »
I have a mag 12 on my tank and when the tank is powered down the pump will not restart. Does anyone have any experience with these doing this or anyway to resolve the issue.

My guess would be that you might need to take it apart and clean it.  Just be careful when taking the impeller cover off, as I believe most of their impeller shafts are ceramic and can be broken easily.

been pulled apart and cleaned. It is pretty much brand new. I even put a new shaft and impeller on it.

it must be a bad pump, every once and while you get a bad one.  mag is the best pump in the our hobby IMO.

yeah the replaced it once already and keep saying its something I am doing. I like the mags because they are so easy to work on and replace parts.
