Mike's Cichlids

Just guaging interest on a group buy from Mike's Cichlids in FL.  I was over his place on Sat he has some nice looking fish.  I am going back this Thurs night to bring back two boxes of fish to MI to add to my existing groups.  I was explaning the club to him and that we sometimes will do group buys.  Mike mentioned if the club was interested in a group buy he would work with us on pricing and he could ship five boxes via Southwest for $80.00.  He said depending on the size, but he can generally get nine bags of fish per box.  He is getting a wild tang order in this week as well.  Maybe I will be bringing more than two boxes back  .  Link to retail site is below. 

He also sells 2mm pellet food with 4% spirluna for $5/lb.  He supplied samples for the OCA Extravagnza.  I will see if I can get some to bring back.

As long as the Mike's order is intended for sometime in the future I think it's great getting more vendors to work with the club.
But if this is intended to take place in the next month I think it's a mistake.
Since we are just waiting on Dave to update his list this week it will make it difficult for members trying to decide between two suppliers.
IMHO, it will drive the quantities down if we try doing this with Dave's and Mike's around the same time.

For my part, he's out of stock on most of the CA/SAs that would interest me, and glancing through the Africans, he's out of stock on quite a few of those as well. In case that affects the timing at all.

But if this is intended to take place in the next month I think it's a mistake.

I was intending this order maybe to take place Juneish time frame or so.  Not trying to compete with Dave's order as Dave has some fish I want too.  Just wanted to get this out there.

Keep us posted then as I would be interested in some of the fish he's offering if the prices are roughly the same as currently posted and if they're back in stock.
