Thanks for the heads up.   :P

I am hoping they can come an go, but still have a safe place to hide.  With the slate around it, they should feel safe.  If it doesnt work as I am hoping this time, we will separate and strip the female next time.

Or you could set up another small tank & use the condo to house the female in the new tank .  ;)  The fry can leave momma & be protected from her, if She gets hungry.

I just set up a tank to get the Ruby Peacoks out!  Ugh.

Here is how I set up the fry condos.  I have sense changed it so that they are in the front corners so that we can see inside them.

Its the top tank in the rack.

I am thinking any day now we should see what happens.

As of yesterday we have fry! There were 6 of them and 3 remain.   :-\

The female is doing a good job of keeping all the others away.  The fry seem to hang in the "condos"

But since three were already ate, I don't think we will do this again next time.  Will probably pull  her out.

Bummer.

This is what I ended up doing with the condos so that we could see the fry.

Too bad the fry still ventured out to be eaten.

Start a new thread for the 'for sale' part of the above and I'm sure there would be some interest.

Keeping an eye on the females... going to take her out this time in hopes of keeping the fry alive.  Fry condos were a failure.   >:(
