No shows at the auction.
« on: January 20, 2013, 07:15:17 AM »
Sence getting back into the hobby Ive been trying to stick with fish I know. My goal was to pair up fish I already have but I was suprised to see a few of these were no shows. The fish I always thought were staples in the hobby like the plain M. Auratus, P. Lombardoi, and L. Fulleborni. But in all fairness I did end up with a few fish I never had before. The T. Zilli red belly is a really cool fish, already eating out of my hand. With that being said for me the auction was a huge success. Are there any fish you were looking for that were not represented.

My friend was looking for Lamp. Tretocephalus or Sexfasciatus and Lelupi's - I was looking for some Tanganyikan gobies, eretmodus or irascae -
Only saw one individual Lelupi come through the auction.

Real lack of geos only two bags both female 1 fish per bag and it was one of the "blander" species.  There were also no uaru or polits bu I wasnT expecting them to be there.  Also only 1 bag of afra came threw cobwe I believe 4 m 1 f nic fish but they ended up selling or mor then I was willing to pay for the male to female ratio.

I would have liked to see some different haps that haven't been represented in the past few years, but there wasn't anything that really stuck out to me.

I was also hoping for more than what appeared to be one seller who brought tropheus. Some cyps would have been nice as well.

On the flip size I was happy to see julies were represented decently with at least 4 variants present IIRC.

Sometimes what happens is last year auction was saturated with Lelupi  and sold sold very low the year before they were high people were probably scared to bring some ( i might have brought some)   I dont know if Ive ever seen any one bring Gobies but I would have bought some  ... The orld world exotic orders comming up they have nice gobie selection
Tasha & Geronimoe gone but never forgotten
