Going Troph Crazy!
« on: December 11, 2012, 08:53:03 PM »
For one reason or another I have decided to got all tropheus. I already have the Ilangi which are doing great and I also have some Duboisi Maswa that are growing up nicely. I'm looking for maybe 2 more kinds.
I just built the rack for my fish room and with a slight modification I can put my other 120g tank on it along with a 75g, 55g, and 30g cube grow out tank. I freaking geeked out over this idea!

Anyone have suggestions? I have my own ideas but I always like to hear what other people think about the different species.

You should plan on being at the MCA auction in January. There are usually a lot of Tropheus there. You might want to set up some more tanks before then, just saying...

I'll be there. The new tanks will be set up this weekend. Anyone specific I should talk to? I'm looking for something along the the lines of a Bemba or red moliro.

If you're looking for "fish", any auction will do, but if you're looking for "cichlids" the MCA auction shouldn't be missed!  ;)

Im wondering, when do the Oyers let people come over to purchase. I know there not open to general public at all. We have family right there in Brighton that we visit and have often thought of contacting them for some fish. Just curious.  ??? ???

FWIW, just don't show up there unannounced - line something up ahead of time.
