Labidochromis Mbamba
« on: February 10, 2016, 05:06:45 PM »
So when I was searching for the Lab. hongi pics I found these Mbamba pics as well. I love the last pic when the beta male tried to get in on the action and the alpha shield blocked him out.
I had a lab fettish there for a while with groups of caurelus "lions cove", chisumulae, hongi & these guys. Labs were my bread and butter and the quality of the ones I was able to secure made selling their fry very easy :)

Nice.  I had a colony of these guys years ago.  Males were awesome, females meh.  They were more aggressive than my yellow labs.

Thanks Kodyboy. My girls were pretty vibrant & nice but faded out when they were holding.

Hey MCA crew just for clarity I found these shots from days gone by. I had this group and the hongi when I lived in Australia so I don't have any fry available for sale. Sorry for the confusion crew.

Had these guys a few times myself.   Definitely a cool Mbuna with great coloration & fun to keep.

I love Mbamba bay's, I use to have a really big male and a trio of females for a few years when I had my Mbuna 55g tank up awhile back. My male was a brute and probably was my favorite fish at that time. Here's a pic of the male I use to have. He had some really nice size and color to him.
