My office tank
« on: December 29, 2014, 10:37:48 PM »
Here is my 40 gallon long in my home office. I just doubled the amount of lace rock so that I can introduce a second rock/cave dweller. The downside of that is I hardly see my calvus now :( I'm going to be shopping around for some julidochromis soon and maybe some open water species.

Brevis (larger, so guessing male):

Brevis (smaller, so guessing female):

Pearly Calvus:

Thanks for listening!

It's coming along nicely.  Are you going to add a background?

Yes, I actually hadn't thought of it until I took these pictures, but I definitely want to. Probably just a simple black background. I wish I would have thought of it before placing it three inches away from a wall, hah.

Even a simple background makes quite a difference I've found.  What I've been doing lately is cutting 1/2' styrofoam insulation board to the exact dimensions of the back glass panel.  Then I tape the background to that panel and slide it in place and secure it with a good quality clear packing tape.
