Uaru group
« on: March 08, 2015, 03:35:33 AM »
I've decided to throw in the towel.  Since I started in this hobby a few years ago I've always tried to do to much with to little.  After my latest down size and mass move I ended losing 2 sets of Uaru that had begun to pair up and the last of my panda Uaru who was looking incredibly promising, along with a WC Geo pair I ended up moving the rest of my Uaru into a 60 G tank in the living room.  As much as I don't want to after watching them tonight they deserve a bigger tank, unlike many of my other favorite rare fish that met there end in my attempt to try and make it work I'm going to try and find a more suitable spot for them.

I have 5 large Uaru left 2 for certain bull males they are all along the lines of 6"  in a tank large enough they are perfectly fine together but the 60G is clearly just to small.

I'm asking $100 for the 5 of them basically just to recoup the cost of purchase as little 2" juvies.

Not just going to sell them to anyone, please give me specifics of the tank they will be going into and experience with sensitive South Americans.  If you are going to try and start a breeding project big plus, species specific only.  I'm assuming there is at least 1 female in the bunch as I've seen some breeding activity but like I said before the two for sure pairs I separated and unfortunately lost in.  I don't think there are very many of these around and at this size please let me know ASAP.

A long shot, but if there's anyone from Bell isle aquarium I would defiantly donate them.  I know there super limited on space and these aren't insanely rare or  a big ticket seller but that would be pretty cool.

How quickly do you want them gone?    I can't give them anything bigger than a 75/90 right now, but I'd love to get them from you.

There yours if you want them Blair.  They were doing really well in a 90g prior to this. I'm sure I would have had a spawn with the 9 in the tank.

Would a 400 gallon be too small 😄

I've been wanting to keep these for awhile now.

I would love to see them in a 400G.  Either of you two are more then welcome to come and pick them up.  Just let me know, no doubt in my mind you guys will do more then a adequate job.  I was really hoping that one of the core members would be interested, so glad to see that both of you posted.
