Picked this guy up today

I rarely buy fish from shops these days but Stopped into the shop today and just could not leave without this guy. He's a monster at darn near 7" and has really nice color as well as really mellow.

They just had it labeled as "red peacock" but I'm guessing it's either Ruby Red or German Red. I'm leaning towards ruby red just because I have never seen a german red get this big, but then again I don't know if I have seen a ruby red get this big either

German Red & Ruby Red are basically the same thing.  Either way it's a line bred Chipoka stuartgranti.

Ya know, with a title like "picked this guy up today" I was hesitant to see the post. I am glad to see it was a fish. A good looking one too. I also have an aquatic critter for ya when I get some time.

I'll be replacing a 55g with a 65g between the holidays Wayne so I'll have a lot of room in the 55g that I plan to move to the basement soon. I'll get a hold of ya after Christmas to talk about the next trip Mark and I are planning as well. Probably gonna hit the PM on the west side for steelhead sometime in January if you are interested in joining us again.
