Does anyone know of an LFS that will take your fish in exchange for store credit?

Every LFS that I've ever been to is willing to do it. Just know what you want for the fish because a lot of times they won't give you much, but it's something.

Really!? All the places I called today shot me down. Maybe they're just not into julies... :-\

Most of the time it depends on how much available space they have and if it's a store that has the customer base to sell the kind of fish you're trying to get credit for. Where did you try calling today?

It's a bit of a drive for you, but Royal Tropical Fish and Bird Haven in Royal Oak has taken everything I've ever brought in there. Had to wait a little while for a tank to open for a couple of them (a big Oscar and a big Jag) but they took them within a month. They will definitely to give the low end of what you're looking to get there however. I don't see why they wouldn't take some small Julies from you.

I usually trade mine in at Fantastic Fins, in Livonia.
