Koi pond going in
« on: August 06, 2014, 09:40:02 PM »

Got some work done on the new koi pond tonight. Still have a lot to do but at least the hard part of digging and fitting is done. Still have to get more gravel and stones as well as do some plantings around it but it's in and full of water now at least.

It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures - how large is it?

It's around 130 gallons or there abouts.

Starting to take shape now after another full days work. Lots done today with rock work and plantings around the pond. All that is left is to build my own filter which will run off a 730gph pump, add another bag of rock around it, paint the waterfall gray for a more natural look, then seed it with media and add some koi.
