Look up the blue magic water bed filler and use a garden hose. What I do. Works great.

I picked up a submersible water fountain pump kit from Menards season end clearance a month or so ago. Was $50 but I got it for half price. I hook a hose to it and pump my tank water down the shower drain; in the summer I'll pump it out the window to plants/flowers. I have a metal adaptor from the hardware store to hook the hose to the bathroom faucet to refill. I started with the plastic one from a waterbed filler kit but it didn't last long.

These are $9.28 on amazon.  Much sturdier than the waterbed fill/drain kits or python ones.

I made my own DYI Water Changer from parts @ Home Depot, cost me $20 and will last forever, no more cheap plastic adapters that strip easily :

Then just use whatever size garden hose you need.

Yeah and it works great, I made the mistake of trying to use quick disconnects but that just significantly reduced the suction, going to the brass fittings made a huge difference.  Now this thing will suck the spots right off of a pictus cat. lol
