stocking question
« on: October 15, 2013, 08:23:56 PM »
I have been reading all different things about what can go in with a all male hap/peacock tank.

Can some Mbunas go in a large tank, maybe rusty's? a single fish of a certain type like fronts or vic's?

I have a few misc fish I am going to either sell/trade in if I cant put them in the big tank.

There will be a lot of rocks, 2 ac 110's a fx5 and a marine land c-550 filter, so filtration wont be a issue.

I would like to keep my non hap/peacock males and put them in the tank but I want to get some input first.

A few of the fish I am asking about are,

Cherry Red Zebra's
Rustys
Blue Johhini (sp)
Nimbicromis(4 different types)

a few male mbunas I got from the auctions, in with other mbunas and they are fine.

Thanks

Rich

Nimbochromis can be put in a male hap and peacock tank because they are a hap. I wouldn't mess with the mbuna too much but I only have my pair in there to keep some of the bigger fish in check. I have zero problems with some fish in there because they are pushed around by a 4 inch fish. Id stick with one kind and wouldn't put a butt load or rock in there because a lot of haps and peacocks are open water swimmer.

Thanks for the input, I was unaware of the more open swimming area. That will save me some time on decorating.

I will just get rid of the mnbuna's

After the trouble I caused to keep YOUR post open that YOU said you had all the answers you needed... you go and start a new one anyways.

Delete this one and go back to the other and continue the conversation that already has most the answers you need.

Rich - I have a Nakamichi double cassette recorder that I'm no longer using (Top of the Line in it's day), I also have a Kyrocera CD player (top of the line in it's day)...

Looking for a 125 gallon tank !   Will trade...    ;)
